Some days I just have a lot going on, thus posts like today happen. There are no logical or coherent connections between the topics I'm about to cover . . . but you have been warned!

Hilarious Comic
Tino linked me this xkcd comic, and I thought it was hilarious. Thanks, Tino!
National Running Day
Last night I went for a run to make up for my missed Tuesday, and I wish I could say it went well. My first mile was great—I did it in 8:30. But as I was nearing my second mile at a pace under eight minutes, I got a wicked cramp in my back, right on my left shoulder. It pretty much stopped me dead in my tracks. This is the first time I've gotten a major cramp, and it took me out completely. I ended up cutting my run short and walking home. . . . Pretty disappointing! I guess that just means it is time for a Swedish massage!
Summer Plans
The summer-festival season kicks off in Buffalo this coming weekend with the Allentown Art Festival; I am pretty excited! I love being in Buffalo during the summer. There is basically a major festival every weekend from now until the end of summer. If anyone wants to join up and go to anything, let me or Ellie know!
Blisters
Blisters really suck. I have been working on figuring out ways to lessen my tendency to get huge, painful blisters after longer runs. It seems like after four or five miles, they start popping up. I've been using Dr. Scholl's Blister Defense, and to be honest, it actually does a pretty good job, provided I apply it in the right spot.
If you haven't noticed already, there is a section of the website dedicated to videos and race times. These are updated with the Freihofer's run video and stats!
This is quite ironic. I ran this morning and I now have a good sized blister on my heel. 😛 Also, that XKCD is awesome. I love my Vibrams.
Also, you don’t need a swedish massage, you need deep tissue, motha trucka. Don’t make that mistake again.
Bahaha droppin’ some spa knowledge on ya.
That blister stuff IS awesome. But you’re right; if you don’t put it in the right spot, not so great. My left foot (which has a blister, thus, blister cream/stick/stuff) was in perfect shape, but my right (the one without the blister stuff) suffered big time.
