It's that time of week again, another Wednesday Weigh-In!
Weights
Each week members who have opted in to have their weights publically displayed for the world (or at least my mom!) to see have their weights graphed on the main blog. It is a great way to keep track over time, and gives a bit more accountability to your workouts. If you are interested, leave a comment!
AFP
Anti-fat points (AFP) is a system designed to give some sort of value to each and every workout, regardless of type. It is based on metabolic-equivalent values out of the compendium of physical activities. Submit a workout, get AFP. Each week we post the totals for each person for the week. In addition, you may see the monthly AFP leaderboard on the right-hand sidebar. This is meant to be a fun way to encourage competition to see who can earn the most!
Chain Game
The Chain Game is a fun little system we came up with to see how many consecutive weeks a person can complete a minimum of three days of workouts. Every week in a row that a person completes the three-day goal, he or she adds one link to his or her active chain. For more information see this post!
I am immensely pleased to see so many people maintaining the three-day-a-week minimum. That is really fantastic.
Map
Each week, we add a new segment to our total distance covered. I sum the total of all cardio-distance-based workouts and plot it on a Google map. We've almost made it across the country already! This week we add another chunk of distance to our graph. My early calculations, which will be going up as more data is submitted throughout the day, gives us 284km this week! We are knocking on the door of San Diego!
I forgot again! I’m sorry. I’ll have to submit later on today, because I can only remember a couple of things off the top of my head!
hehe not a problem at all! There were a few holes this week, so most likely tonight i’ll shoot out an update with all the updated values!
I counted your 30 miles this weekend in the distance calculations, though i’m sure you did more the rest of the week!
I’m so proud of everyone! Great week!
