As I sat in my office this morning munching on some sugar snap peas, carrots, and celery . . . I got to thinking. I wonder what vegetables are trending right now. I assume avocado has got to be popular, due to narrowly avoided Guacopocalypse, but what about others?
In my pursuit of the top trending veggies, I came across a major anomaly in the data. In April 2011, Artichoke's stormed onto the scene and just as quickly vanished from public consciousness, never to regain the popularity that its ten minutes of fame encapsulated.
This may have just become the greatest unsolved question of our generation. Why did Artichokes explode onto the scene? Was it the Dr. Oz show mentioning Artichoke Extract? Was there a great Artichoke famine?
I need answers.
Are brussels sprouts trending? They’re a super popular veggie right now. Get them in apps all over the city. So weird.
Oh my gosh! What a cliffhanger you leave us!! Now I am so intrigued about artichokes. And I want guac and tortilla chips for dinner.
Not a lot of activity on the sprouts front really!
Cajun rice and beaans!
