I must admit, it is nice that the rest of the north east is getting pounded by snow for once while we aren't. It is refreshing 🙂
Last night I went out into the two inches of fresh powder to the gym, which was pleasantly empty. I very nearly decided to stay home in the sauna that is my apartment, but Ellie encouraged me to make the effort.

Flattering, I know.
It is amazing how over the past several months I've convinced myself that I am not that out of shape and that I could still go out and run a few miles no sweat.
Yesterday was a humbling experience. I warmed up for five minutes on the bike and hopped on the treadmill for a few minutes of walking before I started in on my actual workout. About a mile and a quarter later, I was struggling. So much for being in good shape.
I have quite a bit of work to do just to get into basic shape for half marathon training. With only a couple of months to go to get there . . . it'll be interesting.
Keep working at it. You can do this.

YOU GOT THIS, JONO.
It’s probably not that you are out of shape, but sometimes your body just hasn’t fully recovered from another strong effort or you are just, plain and simply, tired. It happens. Just keep going!
Maybe you just need some more carbs before a workout, eat a bagel or two 12 minutes before your workout and you will be ready for anything.
