Today the line at Tim Hortons was unacceptable. This forced a shift in our morning strategy, which resulted in a stop at our local Starbucks, which was bursting at the seams with what seemed like all the Bros in Buffalo.
I attempted to order an egg and cheese on an english muffin, which is what i thought would be a healthy way to start the day. I ended up with the most delicious double-smoked bacon egg and cheese concoction that I ever did taste. It came with a price.
Holy crap that is a lot of not great things for me. But my oh my was it delicious. Today, I will let it slide as a special treat, but I can easily see this being a typical order for a lot of people on the go. Not for me though, I am going to return back to Suz's Eat Fit Not Fat - Egg McMuffin Makeover
HOLY COW! Um . . . at least there is a bunch of protein in it? Ninety percent of your saturated fat for the day, though. Woof. Moral of the story: I miss Suz’s English muffin make-overs, too.
Thanks for the shout out Jono! Deceiving little Starbucks! Mike and I usually opt for the Bacon and Gouda sandwich when we stop at the ‘bucks http://www.starbucks.com/menu/food/hot-breakfast/bacon-gouda-breakfast-sandwich?foodZone=9999 or Reduced Fat-Turkey Bacon Egg Sandwich-http://www.starbucks.com/menu/food/hot-breakfast/reduced-fat-turkey-bacon-breakfast-sandwich?foodZone=9999. They do have some healthier options there, which is nice when you’re on the go.
I hope to be back to eat fit not fat sometime soon or something similar, at least cooking and taking pictures of it 🙂
